Residents in Seabrook are being asked to be cautious after multiple gunshots were fired at a sign posted near the entrance of walking trails.

Authorities believe the gunshots that pierced the sign posted on Todville Road were fired during the wee hours of Friday. Police found multiple shotgun shell casings near the sign, which was posted to inform the public of a Flood Control Project in the area.

No one was reported injured by the incident, but residents are being asked to remain on the lookout and report any suspicious activity to the Seabrook Police Department by calling 281-291-5610 or by filling out the online form at www.seabrooktx.gov/contact.

Anyone who calls with information will remain anonymous.
