Police are looking for some thieves who used their vehicle to steal an ATM this morning in northeast Houston

It happened at a check cashing business on Maxey and Fleming around 1:15am.

Police say a black pickup backed into the business, crashing through the glass and leaving a gaping hole. The suspects jumped out of the vehicle and loaded the ATM on the truck and took off.

Authorities say there was an employee inside at the time of the incident. That female employee heard the crash and locked herself in the back of the business for safety until the suspects left.

Police are still searching for the thieves. It is not clear how much money they escaped with.
