Forty-five percent of Houston-area workers said their employer was actively hiring and expanding. Only 12 percent saying their employers were downsizing.
Compare that to the poll's national average which showed 35 percent reported hiring, while 17 percent were firing.
The other cities rounding out the top five were Columbus, Orlando, Charlotte and Salt Lake City.
