Free food and family fun for Chinese Lunar New Year this weekend

We begin with deals centered around the Chinese Lunar New Year. Head to the Chinese Community Center for a free festival. Its starts at 10am Saturday and includes live performances and an outdoor karaoke stage. There will be live performances that include traditional dragon, lion, and zodiac dances. New to the 2013 festival is an outdoor karaoke stage, which will feature up and coming artists, as well as others who just want to have a little fun.

Panda Express is marking the Lunar New Year by giving away free tangy jumbo shrimp. Just print out the coupon or show it on your mobile device. The offer is good as long as supplies last at all participating locations on Wednesday.

Over at Pei Wei, the restaurant chain wants you to try out their new black pepper chicken. The online coupon will get you a free entree with the purchase of another entree of equal or lesser value. The deal expires on February 17, and it's limit one offer per order. You should receive your coupon via email within 24 hours.

Then, head over to Kemah for to celebrate Mardi Gras with the Yachty Gras boat parade on the water. Saturday's Grand Night Boat Parade will feature dozens of decorated boats and starts at 7pm. Boats will parade down Clear Creek Channel by the Kemah Boardwalk and revelers will be showered with beads and doubloons.

Finally, save the date for new week at Discovery Green for the three-day festival celebrating the NBA All-Star game at the Budweiser Experience, Friday-Sunday. The Rockets have teamed up with Budweiser to give fans a free All Star experience with games, music, fun and a visit from the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales.
