It happened around 9:20pm on Martin Luther King near South Seas. Police say the man in his 30s was walking down the street when he was shot several times. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"Indications were that he was shot on the sidewalk adjacent to us, may have staggered over the median where HFD transported him," said Bart Oxspring with the Houston Police Homicide Division.
Investigators are trying to locate an unidentified black female who may have been with the victim when he was shot.
The victim's identity hasn't been released. At this time, there are no known suspects.
