The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says on June 28, an outcry was made by a pre-teen girl about a sexual assault. The victim's mother told authorities the incident occurred a day earlier.
Deputies then were called to an address in a rural location and learned that the suspect, Jason Ernstes, said he was going to kill himself. Ernstes eventually surrendered to deputies before harming himself.
Ernstes remains in the Ft. Bend Co. Jail under a $100,000 bond.
