Police arrest one of state's most wanted fugitives

AUSTIN, TX

Rocky Duran Ramirez, 32, was arrested last week in San Angelo. According to the DPS, Ramirez is affiliated with the Tango Blast-West Texas Gang. They say he has a lengthy criminal record, including Engaging in Organized Crime.

An investigation by the DPS Criminal Investigation Division revealed information that led them to Ramirez on June 12. He was arrested without incident.

There was no tip involved in Ramirez's arrest, so no reward will be paid in this case. But so far this year, there has been plenty of reward money paid for information that led to arrests. This year, the DPS and other agencies have arrested 16 of the state's most wanted fugitives and sex offenders, and more than $40,000 in reward money has been paid out.

If you recognize anyone on the state's list of most wanted fugitives or most wanted sex offenders and can give authorities a tip, you could be eligible for a reward. Call your tip into the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) or text the letters DPS followed by the tip to 274637 (Crimes). You can also contact the DPS through their website or on their Facebook page.
