Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Tuesday that no one has been arrested.
Police say a man who was shot in the head Monday night was put into a private vehicle headed to a hospital. That vehicle was in a traffic accident and an ambulance ended up being summoned to transport the wounded man. He later died.
Swanton did not release the name of the man who was fatally shot or a possible motive for the fight.
