David Allen Sanchez and Ashley Arlene Campos are charged with injury to a child by omission. Police say on December 28 the couple's toddler was put in hot bath water and suffered third degree burns from her rear end down her left leg.
A nurse says the child said three times, "My Daddy did it because I was bad."
Officers say the family waited almost an entire day to call for medical attention.
According to medical reports, the child needed skin grafts due to the severity of the burns.
Sanchez, 25, and Campos, 22, are being held on $30,000 bond each.
