Subpoenas could soon come over 'Fast and Furious'

WASHINGTON

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Congressman Darrell Issa, sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder Monday, telling him he needs to own up to the operation.

In 2009, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives allowed intermediaries for drug cartels to buy guns at shops in Arizona. But agents lost track of about 1,400 weapons. [

Many turned up at Mexican crime scenes. Holder has said he didn't know about the fast and furious operation until earlier this year.
