Authorities searching for handcuffed suspect on the loose

Authorities are searching for a handcuffed suspect on the run in northeast Harris County.

According to the Harris Co. Sheriff's Office, about 1pm Monday a deputy saw a young Hispanic man who looked like a burglary suspect they had been searching for on Mineral Springs. Deputies say the suspect ran off when the deputy intended to take him into custody.

The deputy then caught the suspect, handcuffed him and put him in the back of the patrol car. The Harris Co. Sheriff's Office says the suspect managed to somehow get out of the patrol car and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man, about 5 foot 6, 140 lbs, 20-22 years old, wearing a dark gray T-shirt and jeans.
