Houston police are looking for a gunman who killed a man in the city's southeast side.

Detectives say the victim, known as "Slick," was with a group of friends at the corner of Yellowstone and Milart around 1:30am Saturday when he was approached by a man who opened fire at him.

He was shot several times and died in the driveway of a home.

Police believe the shooter and victim were involved in a disturbance earlier in the night at a different location.

According to officials, police received a call from a person claiming to be shooter in this incident.

That man surrendered to officers and was being interviewed Saturday as a person if interest. Detectives are still working to piece together the events leading up to the victim's death before they confirm this man is the alleged shooter.

Police are also searching for a car described as tan Buick LeSabre with spike rims on the tires.

If you have any information about this shooting, call police or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
