Store owner stabbed to death during robbery

A store owner was fatally stabbed during a mid-afternoon robbery on Houston's north side. Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing that took place at 3505 Elysian Street about 3:15pm Wednesday. The victim, Sahib Ali Khan, 58, of Cypress, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Khan was alone inside his store when a man entered the store, which was closed for remodeling. At some point, Khan was stabbed. The suspect then took property and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

At this time, it is believed the motive for the stabbing is robbery.
