Teen arrested in burglary of HS building

A Friendswood teen has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a high school. According to Friendswood police, Ryan Deroin, 18, has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a portable building at Friendswood High School, 702 Greenbriar, on April 23. Two projectors and several calculators were reported missing from the building. A window was broken to gain entry.

During the investigation, police received a tip that the calculators may have been put up for sale on the internet. Detectives were able to obtain the calculators which were positively identified by school personnel.

Deroin was taken into custody July 14 at approximately 3pm on a burglary of a building warrant. He is being held on a $15,000 bond pending transfer to the Galveston County Jail.
