Tyler police have arrested two people accused of passing bogus $20 bills at garage sales. Police on Thursday announced the arrest of 27-year-old Jessica Deann Perry and 30-year-old Brandon Keith Uzzel.

Perry is charged with three counts of forgery, a third degree felony, and remained in the Smith County Jail. Her bond is $300,000. Uzzel is charged with two counts of forgery and is held on $200,000 bond.

Both were arrested Wednesday. Electronic jail records had no listing for attorneys for the pair from Tyler.

Officer Don Martin says the two suspects are accused of showing up at garage sales over the past few months and buying small items, using counterfeit $20 bills, and then receiving their change in real currency.
