Woman strangled after getting ride with a stranger

HOUSTON The body of Raquel Mundy, 24, was found by a homeless man in a field at 300 St. Charles about 4pm on Friday. An autopsy revealed that Mundy had been strangled.

Police say shortly after she arrived at the bus station, Mundy's car was towed from a McDonald's parking lot. Mundy was given her mother's debit card to pay for the tow bill and attempted to get a ride from family members, but was unable to reach anyone.

Witnesses stated she was last seen getting into a gray car with a Hispanic male. Mundy later texted her mother indicating that she thought she was in danger.
