Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse says witnesses reported that Bellard on Tuesday night was attempting to get across a street, but did not use the crosswalk. Janse says Bellard failed to yield right of way to the motorcycle being ridden by Hudson and was hit.
Janse says the motorcyle had "the front tire off the ground" and was traveling at a high rate of speed when the wreck happened.
Both men were transported to hospitals, where they died. Police do not know if Bellard and Hudson knew each other.
