Three teens shot while sitting on bench

HOUSTON It happened around 10:45pm at the Gessner Park Apartments on Gessner and Timberwood in northwest Houston. Police have not released a lot of information, but say a man walked up to the three as they sat in the courtyard and opened fire, hitting all three teenagers -- a female and two males.

The female seemed to be in the worst shape. She was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. The two males were taken to Ben Taub Hospital for treatment. They are all expected to live, but police are still trying to figure out exactly why and how this happened.

The teenagers live at the apartments with their families. There was no robbery, and police have not released any other information on a motive at this point.
