Man suspected of killing his common-law wife

HOUSTON Police went into the home off Jezebel near Jethro after family members said they hadn't been able to contact the woman. Monica Victoria Leija, 36, was found dead of a gunshot wound in the master bedroom. Leija was last seen when she went to work on February 4.

Leija's common-law husband, Juan J. Castillo, 29, has been charged with her murder. He is believed to have fled in a green four-door 1997 Infiniti I-30 with Texas license plates BC9R855, which is registered to Leija.
