Investigators say as the tow truck drivers were changing the flat tire, a driver veered onto the shoulder and struck at least two of the vehicles before rolling over. One of the tow truck drivers was hit and died at the scene. The driver of the disabled car and the other tow truck driver were also struck and injured. They were taken to area hospitals.
The female driver of the car investigators say slammed into the scene was taken to the hospital for treatment. A blood sample was taken from that driver and results are pending.
The accident remains under investigation.
