Deputies say a pickup was headed south on the North Freeway near FM 1960 when the driver lost control and slammed into the back of another pickup. Both vehicles ran off the freeway onto the feeder road.
The first truck rolled over. The two people inside suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Investigators say the wet roadway played a role in the accident.
High water was reported in several areas around town as the rain moved through. A left lane had some high water on Highway 288 exit to the South Loop, causing a major backup on the South Freeway. Commuters also had to get around high water at Fondren at the Southwest Freeway.
