Two drivers sought in hit and run wrecks

Two drivers are on the loose, wanted in two separate hit and run accidents. In one incident, a man on a bicycle was hit and killed. Police say he was riding along the South Loop feeder road near Telephone Road when a car hit him and kept going. A piece of the vehicle came off in the crash. Investigators are seeing if the serial number on it can lead them back to the driver.

In the other accident, a 12-year-old boy was critically hurt. Police say the boy was riding on the hood of a gray Ford Taurus Sunday morning at the intersection of Grassmere and Heno, south of downtown. The driver hit the accelerator, and the boy fell off and was run over. The driver sped away. The boy is in a hospital in critical condition.

If you know anything about either case, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
