Houston gets nearly $1M for worker training

Nearly one million dollars is coming to our area, to help train older workers for new career opportunities. The US Department of Labor awarded nearly $10 million to different cities. Houston received $999,000. The grants target older Americans who have been laid off and are seeking re-employment, or people who need to come out of retirement and go back to work.
