Major wreck shuts down Eastex Freeway

HUMBLE, TX A wrong way accident on Highway 59 near Townsen shut down the highway for several hours. All northbound lanes were blocked. Eyewitnesses say one car started driving into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head-on. One person was killed.

The freeway has since re-opened.
