For more than a month, sonar crews have been surveying the bottom of Galveston Bay to determine what kind of debris needs to be removed. After noticing a unique image come across their screen, they realized they had stumbled upon something big. It turned out to be a 160 foot vessel.
Historians say Hurricane Ike may have played a role in uncovering it.
Marina investigators say they will now begin an archive search looking for any clues as to any possible shipwrecks at the secret site.
