Report: Repairs to Shriners Hospital halted

You'll recall last week, Devon Energy announced it had donated $120,000 to help Shriners with clean-up efforts.

The hospital was forced to close last year due to severe damage from Hurricane Ike. But four Galveston employees told the Daily News that they were informed yesterday the hospital likely would close for good and they would receive pay until March 31st.

We called Shriners officials, but they would not comment.
