Arson investigators look into two overnight fires

Arson investigators are looking closely at two overnight house fires. The first was a two-alarm fire last night on Houston's south side. Firefighters say flames were shooting from the garage and the back of the house near Rosedale at Ennis. There was a family inside at the time, but they all managed to escape unharmed.

The second fire happened early this morning on Gano near Quitman just north of downtown Houston. Firefighters say an abandoned house was fully engulfed in flames. They did manage to put the fire out, but half of the house burned down.

Arson is investigating the fire because there was no electricity running to the home.
