HFD will hold smoke alarm give-away

In an effort to help reduce the amount of fire-related deaths, a special give-away will be held later today.Beginning at 9am this morning, you can "Get Alarmed!" The Houston fire department plans to hand out smoke alarms until 1pm at Clinton Park. Organizers say since they started this program in 2001, residential fire fatalities have decreased in Houston.

If you would like to participate, you need to fill out a form that will be available at the event.
