WrestleMania to return to Houston

HOUSTON Hundreds of rowdy fans gathered at Toyota Center to see some of the biggest stars in World Wrestling Entertainment. Some fans lined up even before 6am in order to get a seat at the news conference. The Super Bowl of wrestling, WrestleMania 25, will take place at Reliant Stadium on April 5, 2009. A few wrestlers decided to get Houston fans hyped up for the event.

WWE Wrestler Shawn Michaels announced, "Once again, WrestleMania returns to the great state of Texas!"

"I think I've got a move," suggested WWE Wrestler Rey Mysterio. "I think I'm gonna change the 619 that night to the 713!"

Superstars Triple H, Maria, Edge, Batista, C.M. Punk and Michelle McCool were also on hand for the big announcement.

Leading up to the main event is a week-long celebration that includes the annual WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the national WrestleMania Reading Challenge, a multi-day Fan Fest and an array of other activities throughout the Houston area. Fans from all 50 states and more than 21 different countries are expected to converge on Reliant Stadium, pumping millions of dollars into Houston's economy.

The Houston Astrodome hosted WrestleMania 17 back in 2001. Tickets for WrestleMania 25 go on sale on September, 20, 2008, at 10am. Ticket prices range from $40 to $255, with a limited number of ringside seats selling for $755. They will be available at the Reliant Stadium box office and through Ticketmaster.
