A skydiver is in the hospital. Life Flight took him there after he made a hard landing during a dive Saturday. Investigators say the 49-year-old man was diving at Skydive Houston near Waller. They say he opened his parachute late, so he was going too fast when he hit the ground.

Paramedics say it looks like he broke his leg. We have no word on his condition.

Back in February, another skydiver had a rough landing at Skydive Houston. The diver was airlifted to the hospital with a hurt leg and pelvis.

In March and November, two skydivers died making jumps at Skydive Spaceland in Brazoria County. One jumper was a 59-year-old man from Washington state making a solo jump. The other was a Skydive Spaceland employee.
