Break in case of body found in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX It was a Harris County deputy who remembered the description of the vehicle Galveston County officials were looking for in connection to death of man who was found in Galveston Bay.

Over the weekend, the unclothed body of Gary Wayne Bell, 39, was discovered by construction crews working on a nearby project. Investigators say the Santa Fe man's hands and ankles were tied up. They are unsure about any possible motive for the killing.

Harris County officials spotted a silver PT Cruiser overnight they believed belonged to Bell. It was in the area of Highway 290 and Jones Road. Inside the wagon were three men who had also been seen at the Motel 6 at 290 and Jersey Drive. Those three men have been taken into custody. The relationship between Bell and the three men who were arrested is unclear at this time.

We know that detectives searched their motel room and collected any evidence from the room.

So far, investigators have not commented on the evidence they found nor have they said if the men who were arrested are actually connected to the murder.
