The teenager who admitted setting fire to Needville High School will not go to jail.Instead, a judge in Fort Bend County sentenced the now 17-year-old to 10 years probation. The decision came last Wednesday after the teen pleaded guilty to arson.

He was 16 years old when he started the fire that destroyed the school's offices last April. The blaze also destroyed students' completed TAKS tests.

Prosecutors had wanted the teen to stand trial as an adult, but the judge denied that request.
