N. Colorado sweeps doubleheader from A&M

COLLEGE STATION. TX The Aggies led 2-0 before Northern Colorado's Cody Henry and Sandberg hit solo homers in the fourth and fifth to tie the game. The Bears took the lead in the seventh on Sandberg's second homer. They added another run in the frame on Cory Morales' flyout.

T.R. Keating (1-0) gave up two runs, both earned, on four hits for the Bears (2-1). He struck out five and walked one over six innings. Sean Peery pitched three scoreless innings for his first save.

Clayton Ehlert (0-1) took the loss in relief for the Aggies (1-2), who opened the season with a win over Northern Colorado on Friday.

Brian Ruggiano went 2-for-4 for Texas A&M with an RBI and his first homer of the season.

In the first game, Northern Colorado starter Jon Klausing pitched a seven-inning complete game five-hitter as the Bears beat the Aggies 3-1.

Klausing (1-0) walked four and struck out three.

Kyle Thebeau (0-1) took the loss, giving up three runs, only one of them earned, over 5.1 innings. He struck out five and walked three.

Andy Mees was 1-for-4 with an RBI for Northern Colorado in the first game. Kevin Gonzalez went 2-for-2 for the Aggies, and Luke Anders had an RBI.
