Armed robber terrorizes store staff

HOUSTON (KTRK) Harris County Robbery investigators are asking the public's help in identifying three suspects who robbed the Radio Shack store at 14418 Bellaire Boulevard around 12:30pm on Sunday, August 18, 2007.

The main suspect is described as a black male, 31-34 years old, 6' – 6'2" tall, about 200-230 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap, dark shirt, dark jeans and white tennis shoes. The weapon he had was described only as a black-colored handgun.

This suspect entered the store, acted as if shopping, and then approached the counter with his gun drawn and told the clerk "cooperate and you will not get hurt." He then ordered the clerk and another employee to the floor.

The suspect forced the clerk to open both cash registers, then took the cash from them, plus some electronic items, and left the store. During this time, two other suspects entered the store, one of whom exited as if to act as a lookout, as the other joined the main suspect in taking electronic items out of the store.

The "lookout" suspect is described as a black male wearing a red shirt, blue jean shorts and black colored shoes. The other suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, 5'8" – 5'10" tall, with dark hair and a goatee. He wore a dark-colored shirt, long shorts and black & white shoes.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information phoned in to the Crime Stoppers 713-222-8477 (TIPS) hot line that leads to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in this case. All callers remain anonymous.
