The suspect lost control at the next intersection and crashed into a ditch. The deputy tackled the suspect and made the arrest. It's still unclear why he was running in the first place.
Deputy nearly run over during traffic stop
HOUSTON (KTRK) It happened near Highway 6 and Briar Forest. The officer was in front of the vehicle making the stop, when the driver took off and side-swiped the officer's vehicle. The officer was knocked onto his hood, but was not seriously hurt.
