Suspect beats man at fast food restaurant

HOUSTON Crime Stoppers and Harris County Sheriff's investigators want to capture the suspect involved in an unprovoked assault on a Whataburger patron at 514 South Mason Road on December 2, 2007 at approximately 12:15 p.m.

The victim and his family were visiting the Katy area from Clear Lake. He was attacked as he exited his vehicle to enter the restaurant. There is no known motive for the attack. The suspect simply approached the victim, cursing at him, and began beating him with his fists. After the suspect fled on foot, the victim was taken to Hermann Hospital with severe head trauma. He was released to his home on Christmas Day, and remains there recuperating.

Witnesses described the suspect as an Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5'10" – 6'1" tall, with a bulky but firm build.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information phoned in to the Crime Stoppers 713-222-8477 (TIPS) line that leads to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in this case. All callers remain anonymous.
