HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Some atmospheric fireworks will be possible this weekend. Rain chances Saturday night will be low but an isolated storm or two cannot be ruled out. Sunday will be similar with isolated storms possible especially into the afternoon and evening.
The heat and humidity will also be high heading into Sunday with expected heat index values over 100 degrees.
Rain chances continue to climb early in the work week, peaking at 60% on Tuesday. Our atmosphere should start to dry out again around next Wednesday.
Another heat ridge will build over the state late next week, pushing high temperatures next weekend closer to 100-degrees.
