Warm and humid weekend ahead, thunderstorm chances return next week

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Our active weather pattern is coming to a close just in time for the weekend, but we don't have to wait long for thunderstorm chances to return.

How does it look for the weekend?

Our atmosphere will dry out and heat up over the weekend with lows around 70 and highs approaching 90 degrees. Factor in the humidity, and it will feel like it's in the 90s during the afternoon. Rain chances are only 10% or less.

What's the outlook for next week?

Monday and Tuesday will be similar to the weekend with warm, humid weather and a less than 20% chance for rain. We expect an unsettled weather pattern to return by Wednesday and continue through the rest of the week. These storms will form ahead of a weak cool front blowing in for the first weekend of May.
