Walmart hosting 2 hiring events in Houston area
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Walmart is hiring.
The company is hosting two hiring events in the Houston area Tuesday and Wednesday.
Walmart is looking to hire more than 150 people for temporary positions like cashier, sales floor and overnight associate positions in 12 local stores.
"The company is looking to hire on a temporary basis so our permanent associates who are impacted by the flood and need to focus on rebuilding their lives can do so without worrying about their job. When our permanent associates are ready and able, we welcome them back," according to a Walmart press release.
Walmart expects there will also be permanent opportunities through the temporary positions.

When: Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: 1900 Eldridge Rd, Sugar Land, TX 77478 - Fort Bend Church
Stores hiring: Sugarland, Missouri City and southwest Houston (Walmart stores #4466, #3509, #3542, #5094, #4618, #7361)
When: Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: 20350 Northwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77065 - Spring Hill Suites
Stores hiring: Cypress and Katy (Walmart stores #4465, #7357, #3452, #3506, #7310, #4468)
