Wake Tech student faces hit-and-run charges after she left scene of accident to take exam

WAKE COUNTY, NC -- Authorities say a woman thought a test was more important than sticking around after she crashed into another vehicle.

The State Highway Patrol said Myriam Urbano failed to do the right thing.

Troopers charged Urbano with hit-and-run Monday after a crash on Ten Ten Road. They said she hit another car and injured the driver.

Instead of staying at the scene of the crash, troopers said she caught a ride with another driver and went to Wake Tech's campus to take a final exam.

Troopers ended up arresting her in the classroom as she was taking the exam.
