Wake County student writes song requesting snow day

WAKE COUNTY, NC -- A Wake County student's song is making the rounds on social media.

Emanuel Lirag wrote "Pls Close School WCPSS" following this week's winter storm asking county leaders to cancel school.

He published his video performance on YouTube Monday as the storm hit with the caption, "WCPSS you kno what to do [sic]."

In the video, the teen says "Hey Wake County Public School Weather People, I wrote you a song in case you weren't sure if you should close school tomorrow ..."

The county ended up canceling classes Tuesday and Wednesday due to the weather.
