Vaccinations: What you need to know at any age

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- Vaccinations are on the minds of many as a measles outbreak has left dozens of people sick in seven states and Mexico after a Disneyland outbreak. If you do plan to protect yourself, your family and others with vaccinations, here is some information you will want to keep handy.

One ways to be prepared is to double check that you're up to date on your vaccinations. Below is a list of the vaccinations recommended by the CDC for each age range.

Also, check out the Texas immunization requirements for schools and child care facilities. Receipt of immunizations may be required for school entry, including for college.

The CDC points out there are certain exemptions that may be made for medical, religious and philosophical grounds, but allowable exemptions and required documentation varies by state. You can check out each state's requirements on the CDC website here.
