Power restored to West University area after transformer failure, utility says

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Power back on after about 8,000 people spent the morning without electricity when two transformers failed in the West University area, according to CenterPoint Energy.

The utility sent crews to the affected area near Bissonnet at Hillcroft, and now report on their website that power is now restored to customers.
