HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a wrong-way driver caused a major crash on the North Freeway at Shepherd.
Houston Fire Department says both the driver of a white pickup truck and another driver were seriously injured on the North Freeway.
Officers say both victims are expected to survive and that air bags likely saved the pickup driver's life.
Both were wearing their seat belts, investigators say.
The wreck shut down all lanes of the North Freeway as emergency crews worked to clear this scene. The scene cleared at 4:45am./
Investigators say the wrong-way driver may have been drunk.
