Ranking Houston's most congested roads

HOUSTON, Texas -- The Texas A&M Transportation Institute has compiled a list of Texas' most congested roadways of 2017.

Six of the state's top ten worst are right here in Houston. Watch the video above to see the top traffic nightmares in town.

1. W Loop Freeway from Katy Freeway to Southwest Freeway
2. Southwest Freeway from W Loop Freeway to South Freeway
3. Eastex Freeway from SH 288 to IH 10
4. Katy Freeway from N Eldridge Parkway to Sam Houston Tollway W
5. Gulf Freeway from IH10 to S Loop E Freeway
6. North Freeway from Sam Houston Tollway N to N Loop Freeway
