HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Lanes on 610 West Loop southbound are now open from US 290 to Old Katy after construction delays last night.

TxDOT says crews were unable to finish the work by 5am.

Three outside lanes remain closed on IH 610 West Loop southbound from US 290 to Old Katy. The IH 610 North Loop westbound connector to IH 610 West Loop southbound is also closed. One outside lane on the US 290 eastbound connector to IH 610 West Loop southbound is closed.

Drivers are detoured to the IH 10 ramp where they can exit IH 10 westbound to the Wirt/Chimney Rock exit and U-turn to IH 10 eastbound to IH 610.

TxDOT says crews are completing the work as soon as possible, which is estimated to be completed by 7 a.m. As work progresses from the center to outside lanes, they will reopen lanes to traffic.
