A widespread glitch on Facebook has shown many users as dead, displaying a remembrance banner on the top of profile pages.

The banner says that it hopes that loved ones will "find comfort in things others share to remember and celebrate [his/her] life."

Users took to Twitter to show off the remembrance banner on the top of their profile.

Some users have even joked that the glitch is a representation of the county's feelings after the contentious 2016 election.

Facebook is aware of the issue, according to Politico, but has not commented on the glitch.
