SWAT standoff ends in fatal shooting in Cypress

CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- A SWAT standoff at a home in northwest Harris County is over. A source tells ABC-13 that the suspect has killed himself.

It happened in the 7100 block of Mountain Dale Court.

The man was identified as Paul Jerome Berry. He was wanted for capital murder. Officers from the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force were serving a warrant for his arrest when the standoff started at 2pm.

There are no reports of any other injuries.
