Stolen ambulance involved in chase suddenly stops on North Loop

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A stolen ambulance stopped after a chase through north Houston Friday morning, according to police.

It happened on Shepherd near 34th Street around 3:30 a.m.

The driver was taken into custody.

Houston Transtar cameras captured the stolen ambulance as it drove down the North Loop after the driver pulled over on Shepherd.

Authorities are investigating where the ambulance was stolen.
