HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- For 20 years, Pearland head coach Tony Heath played a big part in high school football.
On Tuesday, Heath retired from football to take up a job with a construction company.
Over the course of his time, he won a state title with the Oilers and delivered one great team after another. He ends his career with Pearland with a 195-53 record since first taking over as head coach in 1997.
Heath led the Oilers to at least eight district titles, a state title in 2010 and a title appearance in 2013.
Before his role with the Oilers, he was assistant coach at La Marque.
